If you are after a Dolphins watch party in Edgewater, The Leinster is an Irish pub at 1600 NE 1st Ave with the game on, the sound turned up, and nothing standing between you and a stool. No cover charge, no list, no reservation to make. Every Miami Dolphins game gets a screen here, and the kitchen runs right through the afternoon, so you are not hunting for food at the two minute warning. What a Dolphins watch party in Edgewater looks like
The thing that separates a watch party from a TV in the corner is the sound. We turn the volume up for the big games instead of leaving everything muted behind the bar, so you hear the call, the crowd, and the groan from the table behind you when the third down conversion comes up short. If there is a specific game you want to hear, tell the bartender when you come in and they will sort it.
There is no cover and you never need to book anything, which means the only real planning decision is what time you walk through the door. For the bigger matchups, come a bit before kickoff rather than at it. The regulars figured that out a while ago, and the seats with a clean angle on a screen go first.
Location does a lot of the work too. Edgewater puts us a few minutes from Downtown, Midtown, Wynwood, the Design District and Brickell, which is a much shorter trip than the drive out to Hard Rock and a great deal easier to park at than South Beach. The Dolphins weeks that are not Sunday afternoons
Sundays we open at 9 AM, which is early for this city and exists because of the morning European football. The practical effect on a Dolphins Sunday is that the room is already warm by the time the American games start, and you can make a full day of it. La Liga is back for the season and the first El Clasico lands on Sunday 25 October at Camp Nou, so some Sundays give you Spanish football in the morning and Miami in the afternoon. Sunday close is 11 PM, which covers the early window, the late afternoon window and the start of the night game.
When the Dolphins land on a Monday or a Thursday, the clock works in your favor. We are open until 1 AM on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, and until 2 AM on Friday and Saturday, so a night kickoff is not a race against last call. The kitchen serves late as well, which is the part most rooms in Edgewater get wrong. Two scheduling notes worth keeping in your head. We are open Monday and Wednesday through Sunday, and closed on Tuesdays. And Super Bowl LXI is on 14 February 2027 from SoFi Stadium, which falls on Valentine's Day, so plan that one with whoever you need to plan it with.
Eating and drinking through four quarters
Football afternoons are long, and pub food is built for exactly that. The Fish and Chips ($24) is fresh Atlantic cod in a light beer batter with thick-cut hand-cut chips and house-made tartar sauce, the way a chipper in Dublin does it. The Shepherd's Pie ($19) is seasoned lamb and beef under buttery mashed potato, and the Bangers and Mash ($19) comes with grilled Irish-style sausages and onion gravy. There are wings, there is the Irish Spice Bag, and if you get here for the 9 AM Sunday open there is a Full Irish waiting. The rest of it is on the menu.
The Guinness gets the full two-part pour and the time it needs, which is not something to rush during a commercial break. Happy hour runs Monday and Wednesday to Friday from 4 to 7 PM with $8 imperial pints, so it does not land on a Sunday, but it sits neatly ahead of a Monday night kickoff and catches anyone arriving straight from work.
Bringing a crowd, or hosting your own
Plenty of Dolphins Sundays start as a text to four people and end up as fifteen, and past a certain size it is worth telling us in advance. The main room holds 150 for a standing reception or 65 seated, the covered patio takes 30 seated or 50 cocktail style, and a full buyout runs to 200 across both. There are 10 AV monitors in the room, so a big group is not fighting over one screen.
For a proper private watch party, the hors d'oeuvres packages start at $39 per person for three items, with a 15 guest minimum, and there are all-inclusive beverage packages alongside them. The private events page has the capacities, the packages and the quote form, and the events team will talk it through with you rather than send you a PDF and disappear.
