If you follow more than one sport, the next couple of months are going to be busy. La Liga is already back, the Premier League returns in a few weeks, the Champions League and the NFL both kick off in September, and the Dolphins start their season right after. The one thing you need is a good sports bar in Edgewater Miami to watch it all in, and that is where The Leinster comes in. The Big Dates to Circle This Fall
It is a stacked stretch, so it helps to know the anchors. La Liga came back on 15 August, and the first El Clasico of the season, Barcelona hosting Real Madrid at Camp Nou, lands on 25 October. That one fills the room, so come early.
The Premier League opens the weekend of 21 August with a full card across Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. As a Premier League bar in Miami, we treat it the way a pub back in Dublin or London would, with dedicated screens rather than a muted TV tucked behind the bar. Our Sunday 9 AM open means the morning kickoffs are covered from the first whistle, and Saturday from noon catches the later games.
On the American side, the Champions League league phase starts on 8 September, NFL Kickoff is 9 September, and the Dolphins open their season away at Las Vegas on 13 September. We will have every Dolphins game on from there, which saves you the drive out to Hard Rock. Why Watch It Here
A sports bar lives or dies on the atmosphere, and ours comes from a room full of people who actually care how the match ends. There is no cover charge and you never need a reservation, so you can just walk in. For the huge games it is worth arriving a bit early if you want a good seat, but otherwise the door is open.
A few things that make match day easy here. We turn the volume up for the big matches instead of leaving everything silent. We are open Tuesday through Sunday, late until 1 or 2 AM, so both the morning European games and the late American ones fit. And the Edgewater location keeps you a few minutes from Midtown, Wynwood, the Design District, Brickell, and Downtown, without any of the South Beach parking headache. Eat and Drink Your Way Through the Game
Watching sport works up an appetite, and the kitchen stays open right through every match. As one of the better spots for fish and chips in Miami, our version ($24) is fresh cod in a light, crispy beer batter with proper hand-cut chips, which is the ideal halftime plate. For something heartier there is the Shepherd's Pie ($19), lamb and beef under buttery mashed potato, or the Bangers and Mash ($19) with grilled Irish sausages and onion gravy. For the Sunday morning football, a Full Irish breakfast is the right call. The full lineup is on the menu.
To drink, this is the part where being a proper Irish pub pays off. During happy hour, Tuesday to Friday from 4 to 7 PM, imperial Guinness pints run $8 and line up neatly with the afternoon fixtures.
